CODE OF DISCIPLINE -SPECIFIED BY THE GHANA EDUCATION SERVICE

1. Parents are advised to go over this general Unified Code of Discipline  from the Ghana Education service.

1.2. Parents and students should note that the code of discipline from the

Ghana Education service and the code of conduct internally drawn by the school will run concurrently and students can be disciplined when they break any of them.

Incitement to riot and rioting

Suspension for those pressurizes into rioting, Dismissal for ring leaders Parents should be made to pay for cost of damages

Sexual misconduct

Dismissal

Writing anonymous letters

1st offence- warning, 2nd offence suspension, 3rd offence - dismissal

Deliberates distortion of fact/ character assassination

1st offence-suspension, 2nd offence dismissal

Flouting the authority of the Head and other members of staff

1st offence-suspension, 2nd offence dismissal

Assault on group of students

1st offence-suspension, 2nd offence dismissal

Wee possession, smoking and drug abuse

1st offence - Suspension 2nd offence - dismissal (recommendation for psychiatric treatment if necessary)

Breaking bounds/truancy, including refusal to attend classes or official school functions

1st offence-manual work with counseling 2nd offence-suspension, 3rd offence-dismissal

Leaving school under false pretences

1 st offence- warning

 Fighting

1st offence-manual work, 2nd offence suspension, 3rd offence - dismissal

Petty theft/pilfering

1st offence - suspension

Stealing / Gambling

1st offence-suspension, 2nd offence dismissal

Failure to write examination

1st offence-warning (in addition, be made to write the exam paper), 2nd offence-withdrawal.

Flouting the authority of the school prefects or Seniors

1 st offence-warning, 2nd offence (manual work, 3rd offence-withdrawal.)

These rules are not exhaustive for they do not include regulation which the headmaster, Housemasters or other authorities may issue form time to time. Commonsense, cleanliness, tidiness, punctuality and good manners are at all times necessary. Any breach of commonsense is a breach of school discipline.
